Nowadays computer games have lot of peripherals including your regular mouse and keyboard with joystick, steering wheels, headsets, and many other gaming devices. And sometimes our standalone PCs or laptops are facing shortage of ports to connect all these. To get rid of this shortage, we need some kind of external device to handle our peripherals and provide flexibility to add more. The Roccat.org launched their latest product RoccatApuri which can solve this problem; it is not an ordinary USB hub but also a kind of cable management system. It is coming in a very unique and whacky design which is looking like a very strange three-legged robotic scorpion and it is packed with lots of convenient features, which includes four fully-powered USB ports and a flexible cable mount called a mouse bungee.
Although it works when you hook it up to a USB port, and when you are connected with devices which require power such as portable hard-drives, joystick or steering wheel which need additional power as well, in this case RoccatApuri provides a 5V adapter so that when plugged in simultaneously, receive some adequate power also. The mouse bungee, which looks like a scorpion’s tail, is a flexible rubber cable mount that holds the mouse cable so that it doesn’t drag or scratch when you move the mouse and also provides the flexibility to the mouse to move freely in any direction. The device stays glued to the desk because it is equipped with rubberised feet. The all-black Apuri has a smooth and shining finish and looks great in the dark with its illuminated logo present on the base lighting up the ports and the surface on which it rests.
This is a very convenient USB hub with four fully-powered ports with superb design, excellent build quality. It is also consuming very less space, its dimensions are 130*65*130 mm (W*H*D). All the USB ports are 2.0 series and coming with 5V, 2A power source.
